St. Patrick's Band wins its section in the South of Ireland Open Band Championships

St. Patrick's Band won its section in the South of Ireland Open Band Championships in Clonakilty, Co. Cork in July 2002. Two of the St. Patrick's Band members also won prizes at the prestigious event, where bands from all over Ireland competed.

1. Michael Dooley for conducting

2. Terry Cooke (pictured above) for best percussionist and for best use of a drum kit.

The band performed well in its first outing in those championships and the players enjoyed playing on the streets of Clonakilty, West Cork while on their visit south.
